K9 Advantix Flea and Ticks Control for Dogs

A topical treatment K9 Advantix effectively kills various external parasites. It prevents parasitic infestation by destroying fleas, ticks, chewing lice and other types of flies along with biting insects. The two active ingredients Imidacloprid and Permethrin present in K9 Advantix works in synergy to protect dogs from disease caused by fleas and ticks. The repelling action of Imidacloprid, called the ‘hot foot’ activity on ticks, stops them from sticking on the treated dog’s body up to 4 weeks.

Whereas the other ingredient Permethrin attacks nervous system of parasites and blocks sodium channels responsible for nerve impulses. This results in hyper-excitation, paralysis and ultimately death.

The insecticidal action kills ticks but they remain attached to pet’s body. This rapid action treatment starts eliminating parasites within two hours of its application. It takes 24 hours to kill existing fleas while ticks are destroyed in 48 hours. Being effective for a month, it prevents re-infestations.

• Choose the relevant pack depending on your pet’s weight.
• Make the dog stand in a comfortable position for application.
• Part the fur between the shoulder blades to make the skin visible.
• Open and invert the tube, and place the tip of the tube onto the skin.
• Empty the tube by squeezing out the content.
• Check that the content is not applied to hair.
• Apply at one spot for dogs weighing less than 20 lbs.
• For larger dogs, apply at 3-4 places on the backbone starting from spot between the shoulder blades until the base of the tail.
• Allow the application sites to dry.
• Avoid grooming with other pets or touching the applied spot until it is completely dry.
• Repeat treatment on monthly basis ensuring the treatment falls on same date.
• Before treating sick and debilitated dogs, better to consult a vet.
• You can treat 7 weeks and older puppies, adult dogs, lactating and pregnant females with K9 Advantix.

• K9 Advantix is specially designed for dogs and show adverse effects on cats so, avoid on cats.
• Until application is completely dry, make sure that cats are away from treated dogs.
• Keep away from the dog’s eyes and mouth.
• Avoid direct contact with your eyes.
• Keep out of reach of children, animal feeds, edibles and pets.
• Store it in a dry place below 30 degree Celsius.
• Do not allow treated dog to swim or bath until 48 hours of application.

Warning
