Eqvalan Gold Broad Spectrum Treatment for Horses

Composed to provide complete worm protection, Eqvalan Gold is an easy-to-administer broad-spectrum treatment for horses. This oral paste formula is known to protect equine against a variety of worms such as tapeworms, small and large strongyles, adult hairworms, pinworms, threadworms, stomach worms, bots as well as lungworms.

Eqvalan Gold also treats summer sores and neck threadworm-induced dermatitis in horses of all ages including pregnant mares and breeding stallions.

How does it work?

Eqvalan Gold contains ivermectin and praziquantel. Ivermectin is useful in treating and controlling roundworms, pinworms, stomach worms, small and large strongyles, hairworms, threadworms, lungworms, and bots. Praziquantel provides protection against intestinal tapeworm infections.

Directions
  • Give Eqvalan Gold Paste orally using a disposable syringe.
  • The ideal dosage is 200µg of ivermectin and 1mg praziquantel for every 2.2lbs(1kg) of body mass.
  • To set the syringe barrel to an appropriate weight, rotate its knurled ring to 1/4 turn to the left, sliding along the shaft.
  • To lock it back in place, rotate the plunger ring 1/4 turn to the right.
  • Insert the syringe tip in horse’s mouth and slowly depress the plunger all the way.
  • To ensure the horse ingests the complete dose keep its head raised for some time.
  • Mares: Treat regularly at 6 to 8-week intervals, during summer and autumn
  • Stallions: Treat at least twice a year
  • Foals: Treat at 6 to 8 week intervals

Note:

  • Each weight marking on the plunger dispatches the required quantity to treat horses weighing 220lbs (100kg) body mass.
  • One Eqvalan Gold syringe contains enough paste to treat a 1320 lbs (600kg) horse.
Safety
  • Avoid slaughtering horses for human consumption within 14 days of last treatment
  • Treat all pregnant mares
  • Not to be used in large animals below 6 months of age
  • Keep away from children and pets
  • Consult a veterinarian if you notice any adverse reactions
  • Wash hands with soap and water after handling
